SciFi and Fantasy Art: The Goth Zombie Spearmaiden

I read an article about zombies where it said that one Haitian story told that if a zombie would eat salt it would become aware that it was dead and return to it's grave.
That's why this one has her mouth stiched shut. The theory is that she won't be able to accidentally eat any salt that way.

She bears the shield of the clan of The Heartsick Bat.

I suspect that is is not your intention, but think she's cute. A cute little face, and the stomach is also very cute. I don't think she look gothic, what is it about her that makes her goth? (*sob* I didn't get to be the first comment and do a dance or something, damn you Satan!12

:-) Daniel Offrell replies: "I thought her tummy was pretty cute too. I bet it's full of squiggly magots eating up the remains of her intestines though."

Good feet.
Feet are darn hard to do.

:-) Daniel Offrell replies: "Yes, but hands are harder."

I still find her belly cute 10
i really like her legs and feet, also her face is pretty and well done. The only thing that bothers me are her arms. To thick and too long compared to the rest of her body.

Also i wanted to tell you that your comment on my mooncat really inspired me, and at the moment i'm doing another picture of her at her home. In my thoughts she now is living at the middle of the night! 2

:-) Daniel Offrell replies: "I see what you mean about th arms. But I still think they suit her. Except that the forearms are a bit short compared to the... what's it called... overarm?Anyway, I'm happy I could give your muse a little help 2"

The Heartsick Bat??
I really like all of it, but especially the little skull on the ground....it's so...cute. Well, I think it is anyway. Spearmaiden is a cool word. Just say it couple of times to yourself, neat isn't it? Zombies scare me though....

:-) Daniel Offrell replies: "Yes, tha skull kinda cute. Poor thing was never happy in life, but at least now that he's dead he can at last be appreciated for his pretty skull.
As for "The Heartsick Bat" I've figured out a little legend about the origin of the clan name, but there's no room for that here."

I am a fan of zombies and I especially like this picture of yours. I read your responses to the comments above, and am now envisioning her little maggot infested belly. I love your work.

:-) Daniel Offrell replies: "Heh, thanks. In retrospect I think the witchdoctor made a pretty poor job when he allowed a body to get infested by maggots..."
